The Web View widget is a great extension to your app because you can utilize it to take people to online resources while keeping them inside of the app, thus creating a much more native experience.
PRO TIP #1: YOU MIGHT NOT NEED A WEB VIEW IN EVERY CASE
When you are desiring to link to a web page view the Web View widget, ask yourself if it can be performed via another widget. For example, if you want to link to a form, you might want to embed it in the Text widget instead. Or if you are going to link to a radio stream, you should use the Media Center widget. Utilizing these widgets will make for a much smoother and user friendly experience.
PRO TIP #2: MOBILE OPTIMIZATION
When you are linking to external resources or web pages, it is best if they are optimized for mobile. This will ensure that your users remain in a native, mobile friendly environment and, therefore, have the best experience possible.
PRO TIP #3: USING FOLDERS TO ADD MULTIPLE WEB VIEW WIDGETS
The Folder widget allows you to include multiple widget types within the same tab. Therefore, if you want to link to specific pages that are interconnected in some way, consider using a Folder widget to keep things nice and tidy.
PRO TIP #4: PASSING THE APP STORE REVIEW
Linking to non-mobile optimized web pages or linking to too many web pages can be a cause for rejection when submitting to Apple’s App Store. We recommend that if you are going to link to web pages that they all be mobile optimized and that you link to a maximum of four pages while your app goes through the submission process.
